About Get-Wet

Get Wet The Adventure Company Ltd was established in 2007. After securing a lease on 55 acres of broad leaf forest with the Crogen Estate, Get Wet set about turning the woodland into a playground for the thrill seekers visiting North Wales. The woodland, Coed Craig-Crogen had sat dormant for 50 years before the arrival of Get Wet so a major face lift was required to transform it into the adventure base that had been visualised.

Footpaths were built through the woodland to and from the proposed locations of the activities. Paintball zones were built and contractors were hired to create a ropes course in the Douglas Firs which towered over the rest of the woodland.

The ropes

The ropes course was designed and built with only one problem, who ever had been in charge of the tape measure had made a few minor errors, leaving the end height at the tallest part of our course at 21 meters. To our knowledge at the time this would make it the highest commercially operated ropes course in the UK. We haven't heard of a bigger one yet so we still believe that when you come and travel around our ropes course you will be walking round the highest commercial course in the UK, that should make everyone traveling round feel extra special!

In March of 2007 Get Wet started offering activities to the general public, with its first stag group stepping into the paintball site on the 27th March. Get Wet had arrived! Since it's opening Get Wet has developed more paintball zones to be used in their paintball sessions and designed more elaborate routes through their ropes course. In the same year Get Wet also started to run sessions on the river running past in front of the woodlands. With the permission of Crogen Get Wet were able to start offering raft building sessions and other imaginative activities on a private section of the River Dee.

Over the past 4 years Get Wet has striven to deliver activities of the highest standard to the general public, school groups, corporate groups and stag/hen groups. Our overall aim is to ensure 100% satisfaction with all our customers, we are willing to go the extra yard to make your day that little bit more special. We hope over the last 4 years that we have achieved what we set out to do and look forward to welcoming more groups to Get Wet in the future to enjoy the activities and unique atmosphere that can only be found at Get Wet.
