Sun Kosi "The River of Gold" - 10th Oct 08
This is the classic Nepal rafting trip, rated in the top 10 rafting trips in the world! The Sun Kosi is a big volume wilderness run with big rapids spread throughout the 8 day trip. Complimented by giant beaches for camping, and small villages to visit. From farm land to jungles we cover over 200 miles on the river! An ideal trip for rafters and explorers!
We start our trip from Kathmandu where we will board a private bus for a short ride to the put in. Our expedition will see us run rapids ranging from class 3 to class 5. During the time we are on the river it will be flowing at around twice the volume of the Grand Canyon.
At the end of the Sun Kosi expedition we will have the choice of returning to Kathmandu or extending our trip to take in a safari in Chitwan National Park where everyone will have the opportunity to take part in an elephant back safari and elephant bath. Whether or not you add the safari onto the end of your trip you will be saved the 24 hour drive back to Kathmandu by boarding a plane and flying back to Nepal's capital city.
